For about 5 days, I was tuned in to my surprisingly good accent of another kind of Malay speaking language. For those who knew, my kind of Malay is so much different than the Peninsular's.
HELLO, KL!
HELLO, KL!
Flight from Kuching was in the afternoon. Landed in LCC terminal, took a bus to KL Sentral, took a monorail to Bukit Bintang and walked to the hotel. And who says I'm a brat! It was peak time in KL so we decided to avoid traffic jam and little did we know, human traffic jam is far worse. I'm a person with little patience so when there's pushing going on, I go with the flow. KL weather was so unpredictable. It rained on our first night so we couldn't really go anywhere except Sungei Wang. Unnecessary dramas on first night but the heck, I want to enjoy myself. Sungei Wang looked pretty much the same since I last went. So many people (nothing to compare with tHe Spring). I was actually drained out from the journey and I have no idea how did I manage to get myself a pair of flats for my class. We walked back, pretty late by then, and yes, it rained. Yes, we have no umbrella.
Oh I had an eye for this pashmina scarf I saw in BB Plaza. Very lovely, loved the colours. I didn't buy it - until my last day in KL. No regrets! =D

So I was soaked wet. Awesome much. Slept the entire night and woke up with a slight ache on the back (will tell you what happen to that ache). We took a train to SOGO and MidValley mall for more shopping. Shopping was our objective, hardly any sight seeing. Sleeping is second. Probably not the best objective but I was on red alert. Sad! So I sleep a lot, second to shopping. Managed to get a few stuff in SOGO and MidValley.
Let's get back to my back ache. I had this severe back ache probably due to too much walking and red alert. Remember I missed my train? It was to Batu Tiga, route to Pelabuhan Klang. We missed it for 3 times because women there are as ferocious as lions. I had to carry this back pack despite the ache I had for about an hour. We couldn't even get on board, and funny how my brother was on the train already. Mum eventually gave up on waiting since the human traffic is just too much to deal. I'm not a brat (ha ha, just need to insert that in). We took a taxi then that charged us about RM34 to our destination. Money gone just like that lah! There shall be no regrets of course because we all agreed :D And I still got to endure that painful ache. (Update: I think it's gone now)
My weekend was spent at my uncle's in Puncak Alam. Saturday was Sunway Pyramid day. Oh I love the place a lot. I don't think I'll get tired going there. I went with zero bag and came back with at least 4 bags each. So much of budgeting. Well since it's my last day shopping, might as well I spend all out right? No harm done.
I looked fat in all pictures. I better stop exposing my arm that way. Ah so ugly! How did I gain weight that much? The nasi goreng ayam, nasi pattaya, meehoon goreng and tom yam seafood meal every night! I got to stop doing this. Diet plan needs to resume. Pronto.
Back to Sunway Pyramid. What I like the most? Asian Avenue. Now I sound like a racist. Ha ha. A pretty good place to buy things really. The kind of stuff I would buy is all there. If I'm borne rich and famous, I'll buy the entire avenue. The one thing I kinda regret of not doing in KL is the food. It was all shopping and no food tasting. I'm pretty sure there are nice foods around in KL, urban or suburban. MUST EAT NEXT TIME! Note: Uncle Bob's Chicken
Sunday was relaxing. Had a great time with my cousins and the littlest one in the family right now, Qaseh. She is so adorable, remind me of Ecah when she was way younger. From the photos in my photo album at home. We're only a year apart, how on earth would I know if she looks like Qaseh? Photos, of course!
My last night was savoured with tom yam campur. One of the best tom yam I have ever tested but certainly not the spiciest. Last minute packing was done, slept for about 4 hours and was on my way to LCC Terminal. Was the most hectic experience in LCC Terminal due to the high volume of tourists and locals around. I had to go through this long queue of safety check before entering the boarding hall. Almost snapped but got it through with little patience left. It returns to zero after the long, long, walk to the gate which was probably located at the furthest end. Remind me again REALLY, why AirAsia?!
So I had little sleep.
And no patience left.
The best would be to sleep. Perfect solution right? I did actually. I really had my moments that day. I cannot deny nasi lemak at any point but I was nauseous that morning. I had to hold on to my senses, sleeping it through with the ignorant passengers at the back who couldn't stop laughing at whatever their conversation was and yes, arrived in KIA.
HELLO, KUCHING. (and God knows what a relief to hear the announcement) CAN YOU NOTE MY EXCITEMENT?
Such a bliss to be back.
p.s I don't think I can ever survive in KL atmosphere - their people, the volume and lack of senses.
I truly enjoyed though the entire trip despite the glitches here and there. I'm so glad to be back after 2 years (that was when I met David Archuleta with Debbra alone), to shop hard and to see my cousins. Great news is they're coming to Sarawak for Christmas. I will bring them around for some sight seeing. A must trip to India Street 'coz that's my favourite street.
See you again! ^^
